From Lee DeBrish —
Scott passed away peacefully at 1:46 A.M. Feb. 25, 2019. He was 71 years young.
Scott MacMillan, a man of many colors. Going back 50 years, Scott was always pushing the envelope. From putting on car rallies, tours, becoming president of the Morgan +4 Club of Southern California & president of the Morgan Car Club of D.C. One of the highlights of his “Morgan life” was of his bringing in the 1st Morgan +8 to California. He worked in the entertainment industry, spent time working in law enforcement and moved to Ireland to reinstate his family legacy and set up a Morgan car dealership. He then came back to the U.S. to pursue more adventures in the entertainment world. You could always count on him for bottomless excerpts of all kinds of history or some strange adventure he had been involved with. Sometimes, as you listened to the latest venture, you would wonder, “how old are you”? But then you didn’t care because he was always entertaining & you would hoist another beer or a single malt whisky, laugh & move on to some other strange & terrifying tale. He set up housekeeping in Staunton, VA & became involved in the “local politics” of the area. Although he did not hold office, he became well respected & highly thought of by all those he came in contact with. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Katherine & son Cameron. He is in our thoughts & prayers & will be sorely missed.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. March 9th, 2019 at the Bethany Lutheran/Good Shepherd Anglican Church, 712 W Main, Waynesboro, VA. There will be a reception after at the MacMillan home 1417 N. Augusta St., Staunton 24401.
